Nach der Fauna Europaea (Fauna Europaea Web Service. Last update 22 December 2009. Version 2.1. Available online at http://fauna.naturkundemuseum-berlin.de): "not in (KARSHOLT, O. & RAZOWSKI, J., Eds. 1996); occurrence in RU-RUE suggested by (MIRONOV, V. 2003)". MIRONOV (2003) schrieb dazu: "The population of this species was found about 240 km to the south of the Ural river, of which the right bank marks the south-east border of the territory of Europe. This locality lies in the extensive eastern European steppe zone. Possibly, E. mekrana will be found on the same chalk hills to the west or north-west (for example in Samara or Saratov provinces) in the future." Der Beleg für ein Vorkommen der Art in Europa steht demnach noch aus.
