Etymologie (Namenserklärung)
Es ist offensichtlich, dass RÉAL mit dem Art-Epitheton dejoannisi den Sammler des Holotypus De Joannis ehrte.
Taxonomie
In der Fauna Europaea (Fauna Europaea Web Service. Last update 22 December 2009. Version 2.1. Available online at http://fauna.naturkundemuseum-berlin.de) wird vermerkt: “(NEL, J. 1997) considered A. dejoannisi as a (French) subspecies of A. robertsonella (CURTIS), which was described from England. The latter is here considered a synonym of Anarsia spartiella (SCHRANK). The status of joannisella is unsolved.”
Bereits RÉAL (1994: 48) hatte das Taxon als Unterart von Anarsia robertsonella aufgestellt.

Vorkommen in Frankreich.

RÉAL (1994: 49): « L'HOLOTYPE est étiqueté “Vannes, 22 juin”, Collection DE JOANNIS, préparation de genitalia P. REAL [sic, sans accent aigu, commentaire de la rédaction Lepiforum] N° 2347. Les PARATYPES sont: dans la même collection, Vannes, 24 juin; id° [sic] N° 2622; Jersey 30 juin; Vannes 14 juin, 12 juillet, 4 juin; 2 juillet, 9 juillet, 16 juin, 15 juin (2 ex.), 7 juillet; dans la Collection LE MARCHAND: St Palais-sur-Mer (Char. Inf.) 22 août; Eysines (Gironde), 14 juin 1936, préparation N° 2626. » — RÉAL zählt im Anschluss daran weitere Exemplare auf, die er nicht zur Typenserie rechnet: « Il existe en outre [...] ces trois exemplaires ne sont pas paratypés [accent aigu: sic] [...]. »
