Locus typicus ist Sahagún, León in Spanien.
Nach HAUSMANN & SEGUNA (2005) und HAUSMANN & VIIDALEPP (2012) ist Lithostege cinerata TURATI, 1924, auf Nordafrika beschränkt; die Angaben aus Europa (Spanien und Portugal) in der Fauna Europaea [Fauna Europaea, last update 23 July 2012, version 2.5] gehören sehr wahrscheinlich zu L. clarae.
