Taxonomie

LERAUT (2014: 270) nimmt - ohne weitere Begründung - eine Neukombination mit Pempelia vor. FALCK et al. (2019: 37) melden Bedenken an und schreiben: "The generic placement of this species is tentative. LERAUT writes (2014: 270) that he figures the genitalia, but that is not the case. The male genitalia are figured here (figs. 31, 31a)." SLAMKA (2014: 125-126) lehnt die Zuordnung zu Pempelia ebenfalls ab und generiert für diese Art die neue Gattung Falckia.

Faunistik

Die Art wurde aus Nordafrika (Bou-Hedma in Tunesien) beschrieben. LERAUT (2014: 270) nennt nur Tunesien. FALCK et al. (2019: 37) melden ein Exemplar von Betancuria auf Fuerteventura und damit neu für die Kanarischen Inseln und für Europa i.w.S. SLAMKA (2014: 125-126) kann auch keine weiteren Fundorte benennen.
