This lovely moth is actually a geometrid Amelora oritropha.
It is found at high altitudes in the highlands of southeastern NSW, Victoria and Tasmania.
It is readily flushed from vegetation during the day and also comes to light at night.
The adults are usually well-camouflaged against low-lying vegetation in the subalpine heath where it is usually found.
